호진(주성치 분)은 남을 골탕먹이는 악명높은 해결사이다. 진라라(관지림 분)은 재벌의 외동딸이면서도 회사 실정을 파악하기위해 평사원으로 일하며 젊은 엘리트 정문걸(유덕화 분)과 서로 사랑하는 사이가 된다. 그러자 미국에서 돌아온 약혼자 마이클(이자웅 분)은 두사람 사이를 갈라놓기 위해 호진을 고용한다. 호진은 자신이 정문걸의 이복동생이라고 속여 같은 집에서 살며 사사건건 정문걸을 궁지로 몰아, 결국 목적을 달성한다. 회사에서 쫓겨난 정병연(오맹달 분), 정문걸 부자는 호진을 원망하지 않고 가족애로 감싸준다. 라라의 친구인 바나나(구숙정 분)은 뒤늦게 모든 음모를 알고 호진을 찾아가 다그친다. 호진도 양심의 가책을 받아 정문걸 부자를 돕기로 하는데, 마이클은 새로운 해결사 악바리를 고용해 맞불작전으로 나온다. 실의에 빠진 정문걸은 라라와 헤어지게 되고 마이클은 라라와 성대한 약혼식을 올린다. 호진과 바나나등은 정문걸에게 용기를 불어넣어주기위해 온갖 방법을 동원해 다같이 약혼식장으로 향한다. 악바리와 호진은 기상천외한 대결을 벌여 식장을 난장판으로 만들고, 라라는 정문걸의 품에 안기게 된다.
