10년을 이어온 만남, 이별 그리고 재회 매일 눈을 떴을 때 너를 보고 싶어… 1986년 홍콩, 상해 출신의 소군과 이요의 운명적인 만남이 시작된다. 대만 최고의 가수 등려군을 좋아하는 두 사람은 꿈을 위해 왔지만 낯설기만 한 홍콩에서 서로를 의지하며 사랑에 빠진다. 하지만 소군에게는 성공 후 결혼하기로 한 약혼녀가 있었고, 이요는 돈을 벌어 집을 사겠다는 야심이 있었다. 이요는 악착같이 모은 돈으로 주식에 투자하지만 실패하고 빚만 지게 된다. 불안한 미래 속에 갈등하던 중 암흑가 보스와 연인 관계가 된다. 그렇게 헤어진 뒤 1990년, 이요는 소군의 결혼식에서 3년 만에 재회하게 된다. 여전히 서로를 향한 사랑을 확인하지만 갑작스런 사고로 이요는 애인을 따라 떠나고 소군만 남게 된다. 그리고 시간이 흘러 미국으로 떠난 소군은 가수 등려균의 사망 소식을 알리는 전자대리점 앞에서 운명처럼 이요와 조우하게 되는데…
