눈덮인 스위스 제네바의 어느 풍치있는 고성에서 파티가 화려하게 열리고 있었다. 성 주위를 총을 지닌 병사들이, 도베르만 맹견을 데리고 경비하고 있다. 성 앞, 얼음이 언 연못의 한 곳이 갈라지고, 잠수복을 입은 남자가 나타났다. 해리 타스카(Harry Tasker: 아놀드 슈왈제네거 분). 핵테러리즘 전무늬 미합중국 최고비밀기관 오메가 섹터의 스페셜 에이전트이다. 이번 임무는 성 안의 컴퓨터에서 극비 데이터 화일을 입수하는 것. 멀리 떨어진 언덕 위에는 동료인 깁이 잠시 스코프를 통해 망을 보고 있다. 여하간 성 안으로 잠입해 파티장으로 뒤섞여 들어가 임무를 성공한다. 그러던 중 한 여성과 시선이 교차한다. .......
