어릴 적 집에서 동생의 익사와 엄마의 자살을 목격한 알렉시스.어느덧 대학생이 된 알렉시스는 문제의 저택을 물려받으며 부자가 되고 정신병원에 있는 새아빠에게도 그의 몫을 나눠 주러 찾아간다. 어째서인지 동생과 엄마의 죽음에 관련이 있는 듯한 베일에 싸인 새아빠.알렉시스는 절친한 친구와 함께 저택에 살게 되고 둘의 남자친구인 폴과 레이는 그들의 이사를 돕는다. 새 출발을 기대하는 알렉시스는 마음과 다르게 첫날부터 악몽과 환시에 시달리고 친구들은 그런 그녀에게 점점 지쳐가는데...
