국제테러범 야파가 검거되고 10일 후 영국의 한 호텔이 폭파된데 이어 민간 비행기가 테러범들에 의해 장악된다. 이에 정보분석가 그랜트 박사는 테러범들의 두목 나지 핫산이 신경가스 DZ-5를 가지고 있을 가능성이 높고, 그럴 경우 여객기 몸체가 곧 핵폭탄과 같다는 의견을 낸다. 이에 테러리스트 전담 특전단의 지휘관 오스틴 트래비스는 군사기에만 테스트해 보았던 공중 도킹술을 이용, 비행기 내부에 잠입하자는 의견을 내고 도킹 전문가 케이힐과 그랜트 박사의 동행을 요청한다. 그리고 실험용 스탤스기에는 특전요원 레스 캐피, 루이 베이커와 케이힐, 그랜트 박사, 오스틴 중령이 탑승하고 임무에 돌입한다.
